Whether you’re running, cheering, or partnering as a sponsor, the Lions’ Stride Fun Run is a chance to come together as a community and celebrate what makes BVCS special. Your registration supports the BVCS IMPACT Fund, helping create meaningful opportunities for students and strengthening the programs that make our school thrive.

HOW ABOUT VOLUNTEERING?? We’d love for you to be part of making the Lions’ Stride Fun Run a great experience for our community. We are looking for 90 volunteers, including both adults and students in grades 7–12, to help across key areas like check-in, water stations, start and finish lines, cheering sections, and the community expo. Whether you prefer behind-the-scenes support or high-energy roles, there’s a place for you to serve.

FAQ

  • The Lion Stride Fun Run is a family-friendly community event hosted by BVCS featuring a Littles Loop (1/4 miles), a 5K, and a community expo. It’s designed to bring our school and community together for a morning of fun, connection, and impact.

  • Saturday, April 18 on the BVCS campus (1020 Pelandale Ave. Modesto, CA)

    • Registration opens at 8:00 AM

    • Little Lions Loop starts at 8:30 AM

    • 5K begins at 9:00 AM

  • Everyone is welcome!

    • Little Lions Loop is for ages 12 and under

    • The 5K is open to ages 13 and up

    • Families, friends, and community members are all invited

    • A child under 13 can run the 5K at the adult registration of $25

    • Little Lions Loop: $15

    • 5K Fun Run: $25

    • A child under 13 can run the 5K at the adult registration of $25

  • Each participant receives:

    • Event t-shirt (if you sign-up by 4/7/26)

    • Swag bag

    • Entry into a prize drawing (for all finishers)

  • Not at all! This is a fun run—walkers, joggers, and runners of all levels are welcome!

  • Check-in begins at 8:00 AM at the stadium entrance. Look for the check-in area when you arrive.

  • Yes!

    • There will be signage to direct you

    • Parking will be available to the west of our ball fields and you’ll walk to the stadium

    • We will be using our main parking lot for the Community Expo

  • After the race, enjoy our Community Expo featuring:

    • Classic cars

    • Food truck

    • Local ministry partners

    • BVCS programs and booths

    • And more!

  • Yes! We’ll have:

    • Water stations

    • Cheering sections

    • Staff and student volunteers throughout the course

    • Comfortable running or walking shoes

    • Water bottle

    • Sunscreen (optional)

    • Friends and family to cheer you on!

  • Yes—please do! This is a community event, and we’d love for you to invite friends, neighbors, and family

  • Proceeds from the event support the BVCS IMPACT Fund, helping provide meaningful opportunities, resources, and experiences for our students

    • Any updates will be communicated via email and social media if needed

  • We will not hand out race bibs or medals for either fun run (1/4 mile or 5K). We WILL be giving out two-part drawing tickets so you can use your ticket to possibly win one of several prizes!
